Scroll - two fingers on trackpad (this is all laptops, but I learned it here)
closing the laptop lid does not cause the screen to lock
go to Apple Menu > Lock Screen
switch app - hold COMMAND + press TAB + use arrow keys to scroll through apps, or keep clicking Tab to scroll
force-quit app - OPTION + COMMAND + Escape
"right click" in Windows generally equals "CONTROL + click" in Mac
start a Snip operation - COMMAND + SHIFT + 4
make a full-screen app windowed again - COMMAND + CONTROL + F
the "Dock" is the bottom row of icons
remove icon from Dock - click and hold on icon > drag outward from Dock until "remove" appears > release icon
with multiple monitors, moving your mouse to the bottom of the screen that does not have the Dock will cause the Dock to migrate to that screen
to view hidden files (such as any file with a filename starting with ".")

cut/copy/paste - COMMAND + X/C/V
undo - COMMAND + Z
redo - COMMAND + SHIFT + Z
move cursor to start or end of line - COMMAND + arrow
move cursor to next word in line - OPTION + arrow
page up or down - FN + arrow
kill process - COMMAND + .(period)
Edit > Trim > use mouse to pull in from start and/or end
Pause video at the point you want to trim >
Edit > Split Up > use mouse to trim from that point
> Done > View > Show Clips > select one > click Delete on keyboard to remove it
can also Trim a selected Clip in the middle of a Split Clip operation
Edit > Add Clip To End
